Jamsday 08/01/2016: “Real Love Baby” by Father John Misty
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOspC5B69L4
Happy Jamsday, friends. Can you smell that? Can you fucking smell that? It’s Schoolboi week and 20, 20-something year old kids are neglecting all responsibilities and are prepping their mind, body and liver for the best weekend of our somewhat dope lives.
You may not care, but we care, so just let us have this.
Josh Tillman, even though he has achieved subtle fame, is still probably one of the more underrated artists out there. His mockery of this thing we call life is the IRL troll that stupid people despise.
He’s only released two albums under the pseudonym, Father John Misty, but a handful of others under that previous Josh name I mentioned. There’s plenty of other accolades to be given, such as Fleet Foxes’ drummer and one of the few people who didn’t enjoy Ryan Adams covering Taylor Swift. But I’m here to praise his music.
He’s a performance artist, and is out to destroy your perception of reality. But if he continues to create such beautiful melodies like today’s tuneage…
Then just go ahead and fuck my world up, Josh.
Have a great rest of your Jamsday and enjoy “Real Love Baby” by Father John Misty.
Cheers,
Pierce
